Team USA Returns home from Paraguay

Team USA Inline Hockey’s trip to Paraguay for the 2026 World Skate Games was filled with adversity, unforgettable moments, and plenty of reasons to be proud. Representing the United States on the world stage is never an easy task, but the American players and staff embraced the challenge, competed with pride, and brought home three medals across four divisions: one silver and two bronze.

While the medal count tells part of the story, the experience in Paraguay was about much more than the results. It was about representing the USA, overcoming obstacles, building relationships, and continuing to push the program forward against the best competition in the world.

Three medals in four divisions is an accomplishment worth celebrating, but Team USA knows there is still work to do.

The journey presented its share of challenges. Unlike some of the countries they compete against, Team USA does not always have the same opportunities to practice and train together throughout the year. Players come from different parts of the country, balancing school, work, and other commitments before coming together to represent their nation. Building chemistry, preparing for international competition, and finding ways to compete against countries with more consistent training opportunities requires commitment, sacrifice, and belief in one another. That is what makes this group special.

From the players on the floor to the coaches and support staff behind the scenes, the entire program showed tremendous character throughout the tournament. When adversity arrived, the teams continued to battle, support one another, and represent the United States with pride. The results were not always what the Americans hoped for, but the determination and effort never wavered.

And through it all, there was plenty of fun along the way. International competition provides a unique opportunity to experience a different culture, create lifelong memories, and form friendships that extend beyond the rink. The trip to Paraguay gave these athletes and staff a chance to share those experiences while wearing the USA jersey and competing for something bigger than themselves.

The standard for Team USA remains high. The United States has a proud history of success in international inline hockey, and the goal will always be to compete for gold medals and show the world what American hockey is capable of achieving. Every World Championship brings new challenges, new competition, and new lessons that can help the program improve.

Three medals are something to celebrate, but they are also motivation for what comes next.

The work does not stop when the tournament ends. The coaching staff, players, and program will take the lessons learned in Paraguay and use them as fuel moving forward. There is a continued commitment to developing players, strengthening the program, and finding ways to close the gap wherever necessary.

Team USA will be back. Stronger, hungrier, and determined to keep raising the bar.

The United States came to Paraguay ready to compete, faced adversity along the way, and left with three medals and memories that will last a lifetime. The journey continues, and the mission remains the same: keep improving, keep competing, and continue showing the world that Team USA belongs at the top of international inline hockey.

USA Inline Hockey would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone back home who supported our players, coaches, and staff throughout the 2026 World Skate Games in Paraguay.

To our sponsors, donors, families, friends, and everyone who followed along, watched the games, shared our updates, and stood behind these teams — THANK YOU! Your generosity helps USA Inline Hockey continue to grow, develop our athletes, and compete against the best in the world.

We are proud to have brought home three medals across our four programs, but this journey was about much more than the results. It was about representing our country, building lifelong memories, overcoming adversity, and continuing to push American inline hockey forward.

None of this happens without the people who believe in our programs and invest in our athletes. We are grateful for every bit of support and look forward to building on this experience as we continue working toward the future.
