Defending Champions Return to Germany

Team USA has arrived in the picturesque alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, for the 2026 MIWHA Masters World Championships. After capturing gold at the inaugural Women's Masters World Championship last year, the Americans return as defending champions with their sights set on another championship run.

Day 1 - USA vs. Australia

Game Result: USA 2, Australia 1

Team USA opened tournament play with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Australia to begin its title defense.

The Americans came out strong, building a two-goal lead behind goals from Kayla Demint and T. Horn. Team USA controlled possession throughout much of the game, generating offensive opportunities and finishing with a commanding advantage in shots on goal.

Charlotte Nicholson and O'Hara Shipe combined to provide steady goaltending, helping the United States secure its first win of the tournament.

Team USA continued its strong start with a 4-2 victory over France, improving to 2-0 in round-robin play.

Kimberly Mehl and Laura Veharanta paced the American offense with two goals each. Veharanta's goals came in special teams situations, scoring once shorthanded and once on the power play.

Strong goaltending and timely scoring allowed Team USA to remain unbeaten and in control of the tournament standings heading into Day 3.

Game Result: USA 4, Germany 0

Team USA delivered its most complete performance of the tournament with a dominant 4-0 shutout victory over host nation Germany.

Laura Veharanta led the way offensively with two goals, while Katie Petronio and Kimberly Mehl also found the back of the net. The Americans controlled play from start to finish, using relentless pressure and disciplined team defense to secure the victory.

Danielle Stanard turned aside every shot she faced to earn the shutout as Team USA improved to a perfect 3-0 record.
