Mission Statement

Founded by current and former members of Team USA Inline Hockey, the goal of the USA Inline National Development program is to help identify and develop players of potential WORLD-CLASS ability and prepare them for international competition. 
We are a non-profit member of the AAU dedicated to the promotion and development of inline hockey in the United States and a resource for all participants who are looking to advance to the highest levels of inline hockey in the world.
We are committed to creating excellence and opportunity for all men and women who want to develop their skills.

Charles Sgrillo

Charles Sgrillo

Founder & NDP East Coast Coordinator

Charles began his coaching career in 2006 with a local Philadelphia team, the Fox Chase Renegades. In 2007, Charles was selected to coach in the United States Roller Sports USA Development Program where he would serve as head coach of teams ranging from 10U to 16U, until 2010. During this time, Charles also worked as a lead instructor at the International Ice Hockey School in Pisek, Czech Republic. In 2010 & 2011 Charles was selected to the USA Men's team where he would win Gold and Bronze as a player. From 2011 to 2020, Charles was selected as an assistant coach to both the Jr. Men & Sr. Women where he would play a critical role in winning four world championships and a silver medal. In 2023 Charles started the USA Inline NDP to support and foster the next generation of inline hockey players.

Laura Veharanta

Message

A member of the Senior Women's Team USA inline hockey team since 2009 and a former Division I ice hockey player at Providence College, Laura brings extensive experience and passion to player development. She currently runs and manages the Rinkster JR program and co-operates the Women's Draft Tournament, which welcomes 150 female hockey players ages 5 and up, fostering growth and community within the sport.

Dan Costanza is one of the most decorated inline hockey players in U.S. history, known for his elite scoring ability, championship pedigree, and lasting impact on the sport. A multi-time Team USA representative, Dan has proudly worn the red, white, and blue on some of the biggest international stages in the sport.

Dan Costanza is one of the most decorated inline hockey players in U.S. history, known for his elite scoring ability, championship pedigree, and lasting impact on the sport. A multi-time Team USA representative, Dan has proudly worn the red, white, and blue on some of the biggest international stages in the sport.

His international career includes winning gold at the 2005 World Games in Duisburg, Germany, and another gold medal at the 2007 FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships in Bilbao, Spain. In total, Dan has represented Team USA in six World Championships, earning medals and the respect of the global hockey community.

Domestically, Dan was a standout in the professional inline ranks, suiting up for teams like the Washington Power (MLRH) and Chicago Bluesmen (RHI)—racking up points and establishing himself as a high-impact forward. He also competed for top club programs including the Tour Mudcats, helping lead them to a NARCh Pro championship.

Today, Dan brings his championship experience and deep knowledge of the game to the next generation, helping develop future stars through elite coaching and mentorship. His career stands as a model of dedication, performance, and passion for growing the game of inline hockey in the United States and beyond.

Peter Dale

Peter Dale

Peter Dale has been teaching, training, and coaching hockey for nearly 30 years. His mission is to help athletes create positive, long-term habits that stick! Peter is a 6x World Champion (Team USA) and former Pro from the St. Louis Vipers (RHI) and Heavy Metal (PBH). In addition, he has won National Championships at NARCH, State Wars, and TORHS. His USA Clinics program was the leading instructional roller hockey program in the world from 1995-2007, teaching over 20,000 athletes domestically and internationally. In 2007, he converted a 5-acre farm in Wisconsin into a hockey and sports performance training center and created the Farm Tough Hockey brand. Over the last 17 years he has had players from all over the world come to train with him, as well as traveling internationally to teach and train players in their home countries. Peter founded Farm Tough Roller CLUB, the Farm Tough College Prospect Camp, and the Farm Tough Girls Festival. In addition, he trains hockey players year-round at his farm. His energy is infectious, and his ability to connect, inspire, motivate, and empower young athletes is second to none.

Travis continues to compete at the highest level, playing nationally with CarShield in premier tournaments. Off the rink, he leads as the Program Director and Head Coach of the Rhinos Roller Hockey Program and serves as the head coach for Springfield Spirit Ice Hockey Coach and Missouri State University, fostering the next generation of inline and ice hockey talent.

His dedication, speed, and strategic knowledge make him an invaluable asset to the USA Inline National Development Program and a role model for athletes nationwide.
